Yoga Around the World
An invitation to a journey
Yoga Around the World is a project that has been traveling around 7 countries over 3 years, spreading, sharing, exchanging and developing yoga knowledge.
It was idealized by me, Marcela, known by the nick name Mathi when I decided to leave Brazil to deepen in my own yoga and self knowledge.
My first stop was Australia, where I lived 10 months teaching yoga on the squares. After I got an invitation to cross by a sail boat to Singapore, in a rally that would explore the whole of Indonesia. It as an amazing and intense experience in my life that I have to find a way to share one day.
After 5 months crossing Indonesia on a little boat, I arrived in Malaysia where I got invited by another boat to cross sailing to Thailand. On this boat started a project called "Yoga on the Boat". At this time I was already 7 months living on a boat and visiting many wonderful and remote islands, snorkeling I left the boat on a tiny island called Ko Lipe (Thailand) and started to teach in a renowned yoga studio called Keiritas Yoga and at a big resort on a private beach, managed by a beautiful thai family who "adopted" me.
I had an amazing time over this place... however after 7 months it was time to keep going again and I had to go to India. There I decided to do another yoga course and the school invited me to work for them in the Yoga Teacher Training School.
In India I met my partner who is one of the best Event Organiser in Israel. Together we created the Yoga Camping Retreat project, in which we are promoting a deep immersion not only in yoga postures but also in the philosophy, breathing exercises and meditation.
I have not really planed anything when I started this journey... however, I have watched so many life changes (even in my life) that I understood that the mission of this project is to make the yoga accessible to as many people as possible on this journey across the world. It is to spread the yoga tools for people and to watch their lifes changing and their lights shining again.
About the teacher

Marcela is yoga teacher over 14 years, and practitioner over 20. Originally from Brazil, she lived in the Amazon forest for many years, teaching yoga for kids and adults in such places that they would never find these kinds of knowledge.She co-found a Circus on the amazon (called Circo do Xingu) and another Circus (Circo Caracas) on a tiny and stunning island called Fernando de Noronha in Brazil, in which she was producer and performer on the aerial silk and Acroyoga.Three years ago Marcela left Brazil and started a big journey on her own project "Yoga Around the World", spreading, sharing, exchanging and developing yoga knowledge in many countries. Last whole year she has spent in India, where she was teaching Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Acroyoga, Phylosophy, Pranayamas and Meditation in the Yoga Teacher Training YTTC200 Brahma Yoga School and many renowned schools in India.
